Who you are dealing with

We are not a custodian, adviser, or exchange

Nothing on this site or said on a call is financial, investment, legal, or tax advice. We teach custody mechanics and sell hardware. Decisions about whether to buy, hold, or sell Bitcoin are yours alone.

Your keys are your responsibility

Self-custody means the failure modes are yours too. If you lose your seed backup, forget a passphrase, destroy your only steel plate, or send Bitcoin to the wrong address, that loss is permanent and NovaSapien cannot reverse it. Our job is to make those mistakes far less likely — we teach verification habits, we watch you generate keys, and we make you prove the backup works before you fund anything.

What we sell

• One-time purchases. Hardware, kits, steel, courses, and consults are bought once. There is no subscription and no recurring charge for your own custody.
• Open-source hardware. SeedSigner is an open-source project. We assemble and test devices; we did not invent the design and we claim no proprietary control over it.
• Courses and consults. Delivered live by a named human. Access to course material is personal and non-transferable.

Orders, pricing, and availability

Prices are in US dollars and can change without notice. Some items are marked as provisional pending brand confirmation — we confirm the final figure by email before charging you, and you can cancel at no cost if it moved. Obvious pricing errors do not obligate us to sell; we will tell you and refund in full.

Wallet recovery — scope and limits

• We charge a flat fee, agreed before we start. We never take a percentage of recovered coins.
• We only help people regain access to wallets they legitimately own. We will ask for reasonable proof of ownership and we will refuse the engagement if anything looks like theft, coercion, or a dispute between parties.
• Recovery is an attempt, not a guarantee. Some situations are mathematically unrecoverable, and we will say so early rather than bill you to keep guessing.
• You keep custody throughout. We guide; you hold the device and type the words.

Consulting scope

A consult covers what we agreed to cover. We will happily say “that is outside what we can help with” — for estate law, tax filing, or business structuring, we will point you to a professional rather than improvise.

Shipping and risk of loss

Physical goods ship from Boulder, Colorado. Title and risk of loss pass to you on delivery to the carrier, but we will work the claim with you if a parcel is lost or arrives damaged — see Refunds & Shipping.

Warranty

Assembled devices are covered for one year against manufacturing and assembly defects. That does not cover physical damage, water, modification, or normal wear. Open-source software running on the device is provided as-is by its upstream project.

Acceptable use

• Do not use NovaSapien services to launder funds, evade sanctions, or access a wallet you do not own.
• Do not resell or redistribute course material.
• Do not impersonate NovaSapien staff. We will never contact you first asking for keys, and neither should anyone claiming to be us.

Limitation of liability

To the extent Colorado law allows, NovaSapien’s total liability for any claim is limited to what you paid us for the specific product or service the claim concerns. We are not liable for lost Bitcoin, lost profits, or consequential damages arising from your custody decisions.

Governing law and changes

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Colorado, with venue in Boulder County. If we change them materially, we date the change at the top of this page. Questions: contact us.
